Going camping or glamping or on a road trip? Bring a little luxury with you.
If you are headed on an adventure this summer, you'll want to bring your favorite Blue Heron bar soap and an Exfoliating Soap Saver Pouch. Because at some point in the day, maybe after setting up camp and hiking and sweating and/or sitting by the fire, you might catch a whiff of yourself. If the whiff knocks you or your camp-mates back a bit, it might be time for a shower.
According to the Leave No Trace recommendations, it’s best to lather up about 200 feet away from a water source, so set up your hanging water bag or haul your bucket of water away from the lake. Blue Heron Soaps are biodegradable and contain nothing harmful to the environment or any synthetic detergents, ever. Yet soap, by nature, alters the surface tension of water ever so slightly, enough for conservationists to recommend keeping our lakes and rivers free from their suds.
For a luxurious outdoor shower experience:
- Load your Exfoliating Soap Saver Pouch with your favorite bar soap in it (right now mine is Purely Peppermint) and get it wet.
- Then get yourself wet, and use your sisal Soap Saver Pouch to gently scrub the day’s dirt and smells away. You won't believe how good it feels on your skin! If you have any bug bites or irritations from the day, add as little or as much pressure as feels good and let the pouch exfoliate and our natural soaps cleanse and nourish your skin.
- Rinse off. Use a carabiner to hook your Soap Saver bag on your water bag, bucket or tree limb, and it will be ready for next time!
